Yellow Dog Watershed Dog Dash

October 19, 2019

FROM YELLOW DOG WATERSHED WEBSITE

“The Yellow Dog Watershed Preserve is excited to present it’s 1st Annual Yellow Dog Dash Trail Run, Saturday, October 19th.   Come join the fun and beauty of the woods this fall and run for a great cause. All registration donations go towards keeping our programs up and “running”!
We invite you to participate in a 5/10k walk/trail run on the Lizard Loppet Trail. And don’t forget about the kiddies. We are also including a 1/2 mile kids run for the little whipper snappers.

Registration begins at 9:30am near the Yellow Dog bridge off County Road 510, approximately 4 miles off the paved 510/Triple A intersection.  Watch for signage at the bridge, and you will be directed to a designated parking area.

The kids race starts at 10:30am, and the 5/10k will begin at 11:00am.  1st-3rd prizes will be given to participants in each event.  And we invite everyone to stay post race for a social gathering and potlatch at the Yellow Dog’s Wilderness Camp.  Bring a dish to pass, or beverages to share, and enjoy live music, a warm camp fire and great people in a beautiful wilderness area.

We please ask that no plastic water bottles be brought to this event.  Reusable water bottles/containers are encouraged and the YDWP will provide local spring water to quench your thirst!

We welcome you to our neck of the woods this October! Run, walk or simply donate, the Yellow Dog River thanks you!”
